The fourth annual Island Hopper Songwriter Festival will kick off Sept. 22 on Captiva Island in Southwest Florida.
Presented in collaboration with Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, BMI, Cat Country 107.1 and iHeartMedia, the 10-day festival will feature a number of local and talented songwriters, a release on the Greater Fort Myers Chamber Of Commerce website said.
"We look forward to surprising fans with some high-profile acts," iHeartMedia Programming Senior Vice President Louis Kaplan said. "The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest is one of our favorite events of the year."
In addition to Captiva Island, performances will be held in downtown Fort Myers and on Fort Myers Beach. While the festival is free, there will be a limited amount of tickets for special events.
Lat year, country star Maren Morris and country music band Parmalee headlined the festival.
"Each year we get more talent and create more exciting events for the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest," Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau Executive Director Tamara Pigott said. "This festival offers fans the rare opportunity to hear the stories behind the songs in small, intimate venues."
