Anyone truckin' around St. Peterburg late at night, (Casey) jonesin' for a good meal, might want to check out the Grateful Fed Pub, the city's first late-night pub and lounge offering a from-scratch menu.

The Grateful Fed Pub is located on the ground floor of the Urban Style Flats building in the Edge district, at 300 10th Street South. Owner Sean Ford, formerly the executive chef at Tryst, said he planned the pub after realizing that people want both healthy and comforting food.

“In my five years at Tryst, I served the city’s late-night workers around the Beach Drive and First Block," Ford said. "The restaurant scene has expanded in St Pete, but not for late-night workers or those wanting healthy delivery. It’s nearly impossible to eat healthy after hours."

The pub features a full liquor bar with five signature cocktails, craft beers and two outdoor patios. A small “convenience store” inside carries hygiene items, snacks and more that the pub will deliver with food late at night.

In addition to staple bar foods such as burgers and wings, the menu offers healthy options like a red quinoa and grilled vegetable burrito with alfalfa sprouts, and more decadent items like a cheeseburger that uses a Krispy Kreme donut as a bun.

The Grateful Fed is open Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m.  and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 a.m. Delivery continues for an hour after closing.
