Poet Albergotti to read, sign at Fort Myers event

Award-winning poet Dan Albergotti will read his poetry and sign books at Florida SouthWestern State College's (FSW) Thomas Edison Campus in Fort Myers on Feb. 27.


Award-winning poet Dan Albergotti will read his poetry and sign books at Florida SouthWestern State College's (FSW) Thomas Edison Campus in Fort Myers on Feb. 27.

The event, co-sponsored by the Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Council of Arts and Culture and the State of Florida, is coordinated by the Florida Literary Arts Coalition and FSW Writes, a campus faculty group that organizes similar events throughout the year.

 

Albergotti's poetry has appeared in several publications, including The Southern Review, The Virginia Quarterly Review and two editions of the Pushcart Prize. He has also published three books: The Boatloads, Millennial Teeth and The Use of the World. Albergotti teaches English at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.

Albergotti’s book signing and poetry reading will take place in the Rush Auditorium, Building J, beginning at 4:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Albergotti’s books are available at the FSW Thomas Edison Campus bookstore.
