The Mirror Lake Community Library will host An Evening with Cathy Salustri" with an an author reception and book signing featuring the Florida author and magazine editor from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13.
The event is being sponsored by Friends of Mirror Lake Community Library and Keep St. Pete Lit and seating begins at 5 p.m at the library, 280 Fifth St. N. in St. Petersburg, a release on the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce website said. There will be opening remarks as well as a lecture that will commence at 5:30 p.m., followed by the reception and book signing. The event is free and open to the public, the release said.
Salustri is a magazine editor at Creative Loafing Tampa and works within the publication's arts and entertainment section.
Salustri will discuss her new book, "Backroads of Paradise: a Journey to Rediscover Old Florida," in which she describes her travels across the peninsula, the release said. The places she goes are those that have been forgotten and replaced along the interstate.
Salustri attended the University of Central Florida and University of Tampa before earning a master's at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
