March might come in like a lion, but at the Shell Factory & Nature Park, it's still going out with a roar -- or a bark, anyway, the Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce announced recently.
The last weeks of the month will feature a local author book signing, a kids raffle and a passle of pet vendors looking for homes for some little creatures.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 25 at the retail location, more than 20 authors will sign copies of their books and tell stories, a raffle will be held and children can enjoy the new video arcade.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 26, the Shell Factory Dog Park will host the Goldenfest, with pet vendors, rescues and shelters. Pet portraits also will be available.
“We are excited to provide a great venue for this year’s event” Rick Tupper CFO/marketing director of Shell Factory, said. “It’s a very worthwhile cause with all proceeds going to the Golden Retriever Rescue Foundation.”
The events are open to everyone. Admission and parking are free, and the entire Shell Factory property will be open.
