Henderson Franklin's Employment Law practice group is hosting its 25th annual HR Law & Solutions seminar from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 10, at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa in Fort Myers.
The seminar, geared toward business owners, managers and HR professionals, will cover legal issues in the workplace including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), how employers can avoid costly litigation when an employee is injured and how to facilitate better communication and stronger working relationships between co-workers, a release on the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce website said.
There will also be an update on notable court decisions related to employment policies and employee claims.
A panel discussion on how employment laws might change with the new administration will be moderated by attorney Suzanne Boy; the panel will consist of attorneys Robert Weisberg and Benjamin Yormak.
Other seminar speakers will include comedian, author and radio personality Scott Gunther; and attorneys Robert Shearman, Vicki Sproat, John Potanovic, David Roos, Michael McCabe and Tania Ogden.
The cost to register is $50 per person and includes breakfast, lunch and valet parking.
