Dance Alive National Ballet is wrapping up its 2016-17 season with a performance featuring "Firebird" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 17 at the University of Florida Curtis M. Phillips Performing Arts Center in Gainesville.

The program will consist of four pieces by famed choreographers MortonGould, Tom Pazik, George Blanchine and Gerard Ebitz, a posting on the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce website said.  featuring the Dance Alive National Ballet company and the work of resident choreographer, Judy Skinner.

The evening will take the audience on a journey of storytelling that includes Latin-American flair, a tragic love story and Russian folklore. The program is described in the release as “a perfect evening of dance for those who love a good story, appreciate the dazzling technical skill of beautifully trained dancers, get chills watching the exceptional physicality and expressive power of beautiful bodies and appreciate the passion and tenderness when spirits soar.”
