Sheena Brook of Fort Myers Beach, a rising star who became part of "Team Adam" on "The Voice," will help kick off the Southwest Florida Travel Rally from 4 to 7 p.m. May 2 at Lake Regional Park in Fort Myers.

The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) is hosting the rally, a free event promoting National Travel and Tourism Week and meant to recognize the importance of the hospitality industry and its professionals in Florida, a release on the Greater Fort Meyers Chamber of Commerce website said.

“We are excited about hosting this event again and having such a talented singer/songwriter join us this year,” Tamara Pigott, executive director of the Lee County VCB, said in the release. “The rally is a wonderful opportunity to showcase and celebrate tourism’s impact on local business and the economy.”

The rally will feature hospitality exhibitors, music, prize giveaways, face painting, magic and food, the release said.
