The Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association will meet March 28 for a discussion and reflection on lessons for leading in turbulent times.

Topics scheduled to be covered include how women leaders should avoid pitfalls in industries dominated by men, such as football; and how good leaders described as an “empowering collaborator” can participate in projects without taking over, a posting on the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce website said.

Theses topics will be covered at the second annual LSPAA Leadership Event inside the Corner Office of the St. Pete Museum of History, 335 2nd Ave. NE, St. Petersburg.

Wendy Wallace of the the Poynter Institute will moderate the program and speakers include Melanie Lenz, senior vice president of strategy and development for the Tampa Bay Rays; Dr. Kevin Gordon of St. Petersburg College; and Emery Ivery, Tampa Bay area president of United Way Suncoast, the posting said.
