Registration is underway for anglers interested in testing the waters to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida during the 5th annual Offshore Rodeo Fishing Tournament on June 9 and 10 in Fort Myers Beach.
The annual tournament starts at 6 a.m. June 10 at Sally Sam’s Marina on Fort Myers Beach. Participants will spend the day catching several distinct species for a chance to hook the top prize, a release posted on the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce website said. “We would love to see a team take home the $100,000 mystery fish prize this year,” Event Chair and Ronald McDonald House Charities Board Member Jeff Miloff said in the release.
Anglers will also enjoy their catch for dinner with the compliments of Bootleggers Waterfront Grill. Attendees will also enjoy live music, an award ceremony and a silent auction. “The Offshore Rodeo Fishing Tournament has become one of the area’s most anticipated competitions,” Miloff said in the release.
Registration for the tournament is $250 per person, which includes dinner and event participation, one spectator admission with a fresh catch dinner, rum punch and beer provided by Wicked Dolphin Rum entertainment and the silent auction. Participants may purchase additional spectator tickets for an additional $25 each.
