Individuals interested in becoming a physical therapist assistant (PTA) can attend an upcoming informational sessions on the PTA program at Hodges University.
The one-year accelerated program, which accepts 20 students each year, is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), according to an announcement. Enrolled students must finish one year of prerequisites before entering the program.
“These informational sessions will provide a general overview of what a career in PTA entails, why students should enroll in Hodges’ PTA program, what are the requirements needed to apply as well as answer any questions attendees may have about Hodges University and our program,” PTA Program Chair Cynthia Vaccarino said in the announcement.
Sessions will be held from 5-6 p.m. May 24 and June 22. They will take place in Room 221 of the Stock Building on Naples campus. Besides learning about the PTA program, session attendees will be informed of available scholarships.
