St. Petersburg’s EDGE District will highlights galleries, boutiques and restaurants during its second annual Savor the EDGE! event.

The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. April 28.

At Ferg's Sports Bar & Grill, 1320 Central Ave., will offer music, food, fashion, art and prizes. Many neighborhood eateries will participate. Galleries will offer artist demonstrations, and four boutiques will sponsor a fashion show.

Businesses in the district will benefit from the city’s attention to revitalization thanks to their own EDGE Business District Association. This organization operates the EDGE District Main Street in alliance with a statewide “Main Street” initiative striving for both historic preservation and economic sustainability.

Tickets cost $25 in advance online at edgedistrict.org or $30 at the door.

The EDGE District houses a wide array of businesses, including craft beer establishments, dance clubs, restaurants, delis, art classes, galleries, beauty and fashion products, furniture, accessories and more. Bounded by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. to 16th Street and First Avenue North and First Avenue South, the eclectic downtown zone has gained a reputation as one of St. Petersburg’s fastest growing areas.
