UF College of Veterinary Medicine names associate dean for students and instruction


The University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine recently named Dr. Juan Samper its associate dean for students and instruction, according to a press release.

Samper works at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts as a professor and the associate dean of clinical affairs and professional opportunities, the release said. He began his post as dean position at Ross University in 2014. Samper also has taught courses on horse reproduction systems.

Samper studied at the National University in Colombia, where he received his doctor of veterinary medicine degree, and later received a Master of Science and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, he is board certified in theriogenology.

At the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, Samper will manage instruction-related activities and other administrative duties, including admitting students into the College of Veterinary Medicine.
