Gregory, Sharer & Stuart (GSS) recently announced promotions and new hires to the organization.
Five certified public accountants were promoted to senior manager: Robert Mainelli, Anthony Scuotto, Brittany Mullen, Natalia Remizova and John Smith, according to a St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce press release.
Mainelli has been a part of the GSS' not-for-profit industry service team since 2011. He is joining the audit department, responsible for audit strategy and budgeting for engagements.
Scuotto is a member of GSS' manufacturing industry service team. He joined GSS in 2007 and will be responsible for the tax department, including management and training and development of tax staff and supervising the scheduling of assignments.
Mullen has been serving in the assurance department for almost a year. She will oversee audit engagements, financial statement preparation, audit fieldwork, review and supervise the staff.
Remizova joined GSS' tax department in 2016. As a senior manager, she will research tax questions, prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships and corporations, as well as individuals, and offer suggestions for tax planning.
Smith has been part of GSS for two years, serving in the assurance department. In his new role, he will lead audit engagements and oversee financial statement preparation, audit fieldwork and review and supervise the staff.
The company also hired Lauren Wolfe and Marcus Norrell as CPAs.
Wolfe has joined GSS as a senior manager in the tax department. She has 23 years of experience in public accounting.
Norrell works in the tax department. He is a member of the GSS' wealth strategies and services team and is experienced in public accounting.
