Fort Myers-based practice Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt PA recently welcomed attorney Paul Shuman to its business and tax department to serve private and public sector clients in health, agriculture, real estate and more.
Shuman received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Drawn to tax law during law school at Georgia State University, he later pursued post-graduate courses at the University of Florida, receiving a Master of Law in taxation.
Originally from Amarillo, Texas, Shuman lived in Europe and then founded a business renovating yacht interiors. With a diverse background and having served global companies and proprietors, Shuman will assess the impact of tax law on pending transactions, such as mergers and selling family-owned businesses or joint ventures to ensure clients’ benefits.
