Hodges University’s Dr. Peter Thomas Veterans Service Center will host Dale Mullin, Wounded Warriors of Collier County president and veteran, next month as guest speaker during its annual Veterans Day ceremony.

Mullin will be the guest speaker at this year’s Veterans Day event, which will honor Southwest Florida military veterans in a special ceremony, according to a press release. The ceremony will also feature the Gulf Coast JROTC and a flag-folding ceremony by student veterans.

“Hodges University is a veteran-friendly institution, and it is an honor for us to be able to host a ceremony each year to pay tribute to our veterans,” Christine Manson, Hodges chief of student success, said in a press release. “Attendees can expect to pause from the business of the day and spend time reflecting on the service of our veterans.”

Mullin, an Army veteran, has been a longtime supporter of the university's Veteran Services Center and its academic scholarships. Over the past six years, Wounded Warriors of Collier County has raised more than $725,000 for veterans.

The Veterans Day event will take place at 11 a.m. Nov. 10 in the John White Community Room at the Naples campus on Professional Way. For more information contact Veterans Services at veteransservices@hodges.edu or at 239-938-7833.
