Florida Community Bank has named 10-year banking veteran Garrett Miller as its senior vice president and commercial banking team leader.
Miller, who previously served at BB&T Bank for 10 years, will manage FCB’s Central Florida commercial banking loans and relationships and lead the bank’s middle market relationship team in Orlando. While at BB&T, Miller served as vice president, commercial relationship manager out of Orlando and as market president of Polk and Osceola counties.
“Garrett brings an ambitious spirit to FCB and is a proven leader in the banking industry,” FCB President and CEO Kent Ellert said in a press release. “We are very excited to welcome Garrett to our growing team as we achieve success together and expand our relationships in the communities we serve as one of Florida’s largest independent banks.”
Miller is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he earned a master’s degree in business administration. He is also a graduate of BB&T’s Leadership Development Program.
Miller’s many philanthropic projects include chairing board and events for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Conductive Education Center of Orlando and the Boy Scouts of America.
FCB is the second largest Florida-based independent bank with assets of $9.9 billion.
