JAX CHAMBER: JCC Launches national invitational choral music festival and week-long summer camp

Jax Chamber issued the following announcement on March 15.

The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus is excited to announce our new choral music festival and summer day camp program, the River City Choral Festival and Camp. 

From June 25 through June 29, 2018 singers will experience a fun-filled week of music, choral singing, choreography/dance, games, swimming, field trips and performances.

During this inaugural festival, the New Jersey Youth Chorus, under the direction of Tara Postigo, will be joining us as our Choir-in-Residence for the week.

We are now registering rising fifth through twelfth grade singers for day camp sessions from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Our guest conductor for this year’s festival will be Mr. Darren Dailey. Cost for the week is $325. A deposit of $100 is due by April 9, 2018.

Swimming at JU Pool

Breakout sessions (Sight-reading/Music Theory, Choral Rehearsals, Choreography)
