About 69.2 percent of the 361 degrees and certificates handed out by the Southern Technical College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Myers conferred 169 associate's degrees and 72 certificates in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a certificate in Medical/Clinical Assistant. Data shows the school gave out 65 certificates in Medical/Clinical Assistant, followed by 62 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 32 associate's degrees in Medical/Clinical Assistant.
The college enrolled 1,015 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
