About 67.3 percent of the 303 degrees and certificates handed out by the The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 2016-17 were to students in Visual and Performing Arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Lauderdale conferred 108 associate's degrees and 96 bachelor's degrees in Visual and Performing Arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Fashion/Apparel Design. Data shows the school gave out 33 associate's degrees in Fashion/Apparel Design, followed by 33 associate's degrees in Culinary Arts/Chef Training and 32 associate's degrees in Graphic Design.

The institute enrolled 956 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
