64 percent of applicants to Ringling College of Art and Design were admitted for fall 2017


At Ringling College of Art and Design, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 68 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Sarasota enrolled 1,456 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 5.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

34 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 50 percent are residents of other states. 16 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (48 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (17 percent).

The school admitted 64 percent of the 1,995 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 29 percent enrolled.
