About 40.5 percent of the 565 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of South Florida-Sarasota-Manatee in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Sarasota conferred 187 bachelor's degrees and 42 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in elementary education and teaching. Data shows the school gave out 43 bachelor's degrees in elementary education and teaching, followed by 43 bachelor's degrees in general psychology and 38 bachelor's degrees in general hospitality administration/management.
The university enrolled 2,117 students for 2017-18, including 1,935 in undergraduate programs and 182 in graduate programs.
