Graduates earn 571 degrees from Bethune-Cookman University


About 20.8 percent of the 571 degrees and certificates handed out by Bethune-Cookman University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Beach conferred 101 bachelor's degrees and 18 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies. Data shows the school gave out 113 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies, followed by 64 bachelor's degrees in "other" corrections and criminal justice and 62 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The university enrolled 4,143 students for 2017-18, including 3,992 in undergraduate programs and 151 in graduate programs.
