Graduates earn 1,265 degrees, certificates from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Daytona Beach


About 39.5 percent of the 1,265 degrees and certificates handed out by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Daytona Beach in 2017-18 were to students in transportation and materials moving programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Beach conferred 420 bachelor's degrees and 58 associate's degrees in transportation and materials moving programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general aeronautics/aviation/aerospace science and technology. Data shows the school gave out 394 bachelor's degrees in general aeronautics/aviation/aerospace science and technology, followed by 186 bachelor's degrees in aerospace, aeronautical and astronautical/space engineering and 80 bachelor's degrees in "other" business administration, management and operations.

The university enrolled 6,338 students for 2017-18, including 5,729 in undergraduate programs and 609 in graduate programs.
