Graduates earn 886 degrees, certificates from St Thomas University


About 29.1 percent of the 886 degrees and certificates handed out by St Thomas University in 2017-18 were to students in legal professions and studies programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Gardens conferred 196 doctor's degrees and 46 certificates in legal professions and studies programs.

But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in law. Data shows the school gave out 195 doctor's degrees in law, followed by 89 master's degrees in teacher education, multiple levels and 84 master's degrees in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 4,538 students for 2017-18, including 2,906 in undergraduate programs and 1,632 in graduate programs.
