Two participants in Launchpoint, Mesa’s technology accelerator, recently earned the chance to battle 62 other companies for up to $300,000 in the Arizona Venture Madness competition.
CleanRouter and Prenda will take part in a head-to-head competition made up of two online elimination rounds. If they make it into the top 16, they will move on to the live-demo stage of the competition, to be held in March at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale.
The Arizona Venture Madness competition is put on by Invest Southwest in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority.
“We look forward to watching both of them advance in the competition and continue their success,” Mesa Mayor John Giles said.
CleanRouter came up with a product to keep kids safe from unapproved internet sites. It gives parents control of screen time and emails them reports of their children's online activity.
Prenda also focuses on children, giving them the chance to learn computer programming. It also offers online and offline programs to teach kids to code.
